Art Basil 2022
This August saw Basil's Bar hosting the third annual Art Basil event and this year were raising money for the SVGEF and the Basil's Arts and Music fund to help with the development of Artistic talent in St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
Led by Katie Channon, the week involved art classes on the deck at Basil’s and it was lovely to see both children and adults getting heavily involved over a number of days.
Following on from last year’s introduction of the “Mustique Mural” which proved extremely popular as guests and residents, all budding artists were again handed their own small canvas and given a few days to create something that represented "their" Mustique.
These canvases were then handed back in and pieced together on a large canvas to create an incredible collage which was then auctioned off piece by piece during the evening of the Auction.
Art Basil finished in style with a sunset taco & tequila night at Basil’s bar and the auction which raised in excess of $81,000 XCD for our dedicated causes.
The Mustique Mural will be available to purchase, recreated as gift cards and wrapping paper in Basil’s bazaar with a new design coming out annually after each year’s event.
